Swing Tyne! is a non-profit, volunteer-run collective based in Newcastle upon Tyne, dedicated to encouraging and developing the authentic swing dances of the 1920s, '30s and '40s - Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa, Collegiate Shag and Jazz Roots - in and around our city. We run low-cost swing dance classes every Thursday at Summerhill Bowling Club, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE4 6EH. All ages and abilities are welcome and no partner or experience is needed.

To celebrate the launch of the 2014-15 directory, we are creating a Spotify playlist to introduce people to the music of the jazz and swing eras, and offering free entry to newcomers to our Thursday night class.
