The Harris is a Grade I listed building, opened in 1893, with extensive collections of British fine art, decorative art and Preston's history. We have shown contemporary art since our inception and, in 2015-16, are showing an exciting programme inspired by Beckett, Dance First, Think Later. This includes new work by Lucy Beech, the Art from Elsewhere exhibition of international contemporary art and a new commission by Nathaniel Mellors, winner of the Contemporary Art Society Award for Museums.
