Elaine Speight, In Certain Places
In Certain Places is a programme of artistic interventions and events, run by Elaine Speight, Charles Quick and Rachel Bartholomew in the University of Central Lancashire. Based in Preston, the project examines how artists can contribute to the form and functions of a city by exploring new approaches to art, culture and urban development. By testing ideas in Preston’s public spaces, and forming collaborations with artists, institutions, communities and businesses, In Certain Places seeks to generate alternative narratives of place.
