I am a painter. I use the things I paint to build a restless set of constructions which respond to the spaces in which they are built. I look at painting by looking at the things it lacks and the things it has lost.

Recently I have been looking at painting's relationship with the screen. Using photography and video as a central part of my process I have been thinking about the presence or absence of the painted object.
