In Certain Places is a programme of artistic interventions and events based at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston. The project examines how artists can contribute to the form and functions of a city by exploring new approaches to art, culture and urban development. It encourages artist-led and community-focused networks of practice to develop projects that reveal and engage with ‘places’. In Certain Places empowers artists to explore situations in an organic manner, through the lens of their choosing.
