In Certain Places is an artistic research project based at the University of Central Lancashire, which explores ways of informing the future of places through an ongoing programme of artistic interventions within Preston. Our work includes temporary public art works and architectural commissions, artist residencies and public events, which generate alternative understandings of the urban environment, enable new ideas to be tested, and instigate collaborations between artists, academics, urban planners, activists, public institutions and other individuals in Preston and beyond.
