Akademia is a trans-national group of educators, formed to offer alternative learning in various ways. They are shocked at the deterioration in 'Neoliberal' education, at a time when schools focus on training for jobs, and universities are orientated towards profit. Akademia came together in Manchester and Sheffield as a collegial network in 2015 to discuss ways out of the situation.
