I'm a musician, artist, researcher, free software developer and organiser, living in Sheffield. I make the TidalCycles free/open source language for live coding musical (and other) patterns, and perform with it around the world, including as part of the bands CCAI and Slub. I research patterns in ancient weaves, as part of the PENELOPE project based in the Deutsches Museum, Munich. I co-founded AlgoMech festival, the Algorave and TOPLAP movements, and international conferences on Live Interfaces and Live Coding.
