Although painting is the language at the root of what I do, I am interested in how it mingles with film, photography, sculpture, animation, sound, music and movement. I use painting as a means to understanding other ways of working which fascinate or bother me. I look at what painting lacks or has lost as well as what it still has to offer. Resisting finished forms, my work often straddles a space between object, event and document.
