Star & Shadow is a self-organised, 100% volunteer-run DIY Cinema, music venue, cafe, social centre and meeting space. Set up as a co-operative, we own our building, which volunteers can programme in any way they feel inspired to. The programme is very diverse, and emmerges from the interests and enthusiasms of people involved, and other groups who pay to use the space. It is geared towards film, music and activist culture from the margins, organised in a grassroots way.
