Being Director of The Writing Squad enables Steve to be on the boards of Grimm&Co in Rotherham, and HIVE South Yorkshire, and do things like help write Stockport's cultural vision. He writes short-stories and sets up micro-projects most of which involve place, words and photography - and sometimes larger scale production like the Brothers Quay filling Leeds' Dark Arches with sound, dance and light, or putting on a walk-thru Striggio 40 Part Mass in York Minister.
